Project Description
This home was designed to modernize classic Florida coastal architecture through clean, well-proportioned forms, intentional massing and elements tailored to its Gulf-side environment. Vertical siding, a standing-seam metal roof, deep overhangs and Bahama-style shading were integrated to balance character with performance—improving solar protection, durability and storm resilience. Window groupings and balconies were placed to frame corridor views to the water, strengthen ventilation and activate the façade while maintaining privacy on a narrow site. Inside, the layout is shaped around light, movement and flexible living. Wide structural spans allow the main floor to function as an open, uninterrupted gathering space, while the stair acts as a central organizing element that connects the home vertically. Bedrooms and bunk rooms are planned for efficiency and comfort, with circulation and storage designed to maximize usable space. Together, the interior and exterior architecture create a clean, resilient coastal home that supports everyday living and connects seamlessly to its beachside setting.
