Anna Maria Waterfront
Project Description
This residence blends the language of a modern West Indies estate with the clean, geometric precision of contemporary coastal architecture. The crisp white façade, deep dark-wood eaves, and exposed timber brackets establish a sophisticated silhouette that feels both grounded and elevated. Expansive glazing and recessed balconies invite natural light into the home while framing curated views of the canal and surrounding palms. The structure is thoughtfully elevated for coastal resilience, utilizing a rhythmic play of materials, from the geometric paver-and-turf driveway to the bold, checkered tilework of the spa, to seamlessly integrate the home into its tropical waterfront environment. A prominent under-croft living area, finished with warm wood tongue-and-groove ceilings, serves as an architectural transition that merges the home’s interior with the poolside sanctuary. Inside, the design continues this dialogue, pairing rift-sawn wood and dramatic, heavily veined stone surfaces with oversized burnished brass accents to create a space that is as tactile as it is visual. Native landscaping and white river rock soften the home's sharp lines, providing a lush, organic backdrop for waterfront entertaining. The result is a refined interpretation of modern island living, bold, resilient, and perfectly synchronized with the relaxed character of Anna Maria Island.
